Resilience Against Restraint by Yashua Klos

American artist, Yashua Klos, explores strength, resilience, and prosperity against all odds. His multimedia approach mixes traditional and modern techniques by using the ancient woodblock printing technique, acrylic and coloured pencils. But he also has a hint of rebellion by using spray paint. Very much in keeping with his message.

Inspired by his family, Yashua creates portraits of Black individuals who are standing strong. He celebrates his heritage with ubiquitous indigenous wildflowers, impossible to restrain, growing across faces and palms - a celebration of resilience and strength.
