Local Life with Ebenezar Dedi
Ghanaian artist, Ebenezar Dedi, uses oil and acrylic on canvas to describe daily life and people.
In several of his paintings, women look out from the canvas as though a photograph has just captured a moment in time when they were home. Their local, traditional dresses and hairstyle take us back on a nostalgic journey to the 80s and 90s.
The prints of their dresses tell their own story - one of ownership and pride in identity and in the African narrative.
