Ghanaian artist, Owusu-Ankomah, transports tradition into our daily lives with his art. His creations are wholly distinct - Adinkra symbols in bold blacks and whites…with deep messages and hidden male figures that you begin to uncover as you stare.

Adinkra are ancient symbols by the Akan people of Ghanaian. Each symbol conveys a concept, a truth, about life, identity, spirituality, consciousness, philosophy. Owusu-Ankomah pushes us to reflect on how these concepts surround us as humans - we live within their constraints and we spend our lives trying to uncover their revelations.
