Stories of Home with Lebohang Kganye

South African artist and photographer, Lebohang Kganye, creates art that you can step into. She uses photography, installations and staged scenes to explore home in South African townships, history, and even spirituality and the ethereal traditional stories our ancestors tell us.

Her 2025 series, Le Sale ka Kgotso, is especially powerful. It plays on those traditional folklore but also explores what it’s like to live in post-apartheid society. We love how, regardless of the story, Lebohang turns art into something you can physically enter and interact with, making it feel that much more personal.
