Human Architecture by Patrick Akpojotor
Nigerian artist, Patrick Akpojotor, uses acrylic and oil paints to reveal relationships between humans and structures. His creations create fluidity out of rigid lines and architectural structures, in colorful strokes inspired by cubist art.
Blocks, lines, and angles that at first look like structured buildings wittingly reveal themselves to be as warm and curvy as humans. Every other glance gives you fresh appreciation of the African artist’s style - windows become eyes, arches become armpits, and blocks of iron become head wraps. Fascinating.
