Heaven Can Wait by Michael Soi

Kenyan artist, Michael Soi, is well known for his satirical artworks that tell the story of Kenyan society. In particular, Michael critiques mediocre governance and poverty, and the way people survive or escape the hardships they go through.

In his Heaven Can Wait series, the African artist uses heaven as an ideal that people put on pause because they need immediate gratification to escape. Ethics are put aside to enable them make money, or spend money in a sorry pursuit of fleeting pleasure.
